Founder Bio
Paul completed the Executive Program
in Brand Management at
Harvard Business School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in
Computer Science/Mathematics from
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Over the years, his community
service has involved President, Board or Committee roles with the following
organizations: Institute of Management Consultants (Pacific Northwest Chapter), Puget Sound Illini Club (UIUC alumni club), Northwest Entrepreneur Network's Venture Advisory Panel,
Bainbridge Island Graduate Institute, Taste of Health, American
Red Cross Disaster Services, Madrona School,
KidsUp community-built playground, and
Seattle Youth Garden Works.
Out of lifelong commitment to
"sharpening the saw", Paul has participated in numerous and diverse
training programs including programs on leadership, conflict
resolution, changing business models and even the Natural Gourmet
Cookery School. His favorite Puget Sound professional events range
from the MIT Enterprise Forum to Toastmasters International.
Prior to his business and marketing
career, Paul spent a decade as a
software engineer. His talents include user interface design,
requirements analysis, and product specification. At Microsoft, he
developed expertise on spelling checkers that made him a "borrowed
resource" within the company. He was fortunate to have been
involved with industry icon products selling hundreds of millions of
copies such as Microsoft Flight Simulator for Macintosh, Windows
3.0, Word for Windows, and Word for DOS [remember that?]
Paul resides with his
wife and two children on Bainbridge Island -- due west of Seattle in
the Puget Sound. He enjoys hiking, racquetball, motorcycling,
percussion, and singing in the shower.
